Weekly round-up from your local Neighbourhood Team |
||
|
Hello, and welcome to your regular round up from the St Matthew’s Neighbourhood Policing Team. Keeping the different communities in St Matthew’s informed of some of the activity that goes on.
Some things that we have been doing on our patch:
Recently PCSO’s and the DNO Officer from the team have been out and about with Greensquare Accord support staff. Working in partnership with the support staff we visited properties and locations across Caldmore where issues such as Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB), and neighbourhood issues have been problematic within the different Greensquare Accord projects and the wider community around them. During this particular patrol there were no issues that arose, but residents who we spoke with were pleased to see the team out and about in their community.
A number of crime prevention and pop-up surgeries at various locations in St Matthew’s including, in Walsall Town Centre at The Hub at StPaul’s bus station, and in Caldmore, the Guru Nanak Gurdwarda. Reassurance and advice was shared about keeping each other and personal items safe when out and about. Some information was received and will be dealt with accordingly.
As part of a number of proactive and hi-visibility that the team have conducted around St Matthew’s there have been positive community interaction. Also, a stolen vehicle was located and seized. Also arrests have been made on individuals for both drug related crime and shop thefts.
